чернила - ink (4th September 2011)

чернила [cher-NI-la] (plural noun) – ink

В этой ручке зелёные чернила. = There's green ink in this pen.

Письмо написано синими чернилами. = The letter is written in blue ink.

 

The word "чернила" is always plural. It comes from "чёрный" = black.
