General Beginner course


The course is aimed at absolute beginners but "false" beginners will also find it useful. It consists of an introduction and two parts; each part is followed by a review and a test.


Introduction: learning to read Cyrillic letters and basic pronunciation rules


Beginner Course 1


Vocabulary: greetings and polite words; numbers; personal pronouns, nationalities, places (bank, pharmacy…); jobs; food; everyday activities; leisure time; the weather; seasons; months; dates.


Grammar points: Present Tense; Prepositional case (nouns); Accusative case (nouns); Past Tense; I have/I don’t have; Genitive Case (nouns); use of the verb “to go”; Genitive case plural.


Beginner Course 2


Vocabulary: home and things that you find there; prepositions of place; sports and different skills; clothes; transport and travelling; giving directions; speaking on the phone.


Grammar points: Dative case (nouns, pronouns); Dative versus Accusative case, verb “to be able to”, Imperfective/Perfective aspect of verbs; verbs of motion; comparatives/superlatives; Instrumental case (nouns); Accusative Case Animate; Future Tense.


The two courses are aimed to bring you to Pre-Intermediate level. They include 20 classes each and cost 200 USD each. A class lasts 45 minutes and takes place once a week. Day / time will be chosen depending on the availbilities of the students who wish to take the course. Your first trial class is free. If you choose to take the course, you'll be required to pay for it before you attend your second class. Payments are processed via Paypal. The course will start in October 2015 if there are enough people who can attend classes at the same time (minimum 3 students per course).
