ванная - a bathroom (13th October 2011)

ванная [VAN-na-ya] (feminine noun) – a bathroom

Аня в ванной. = Anya is in the bathroom.

Иди в ванную и вымой руки. = Go to the bathroom and wash your hands.

"Ванная" actually used to be "ванная комната" (комната = a room), but in spoken Russian we usually just say "ванная" and omit "комната". As "ванная" is an adjective that started being used as a noun, it's declined like an adjective. The word comes from "ванна" = a bath.
