сколько - how many (26th July 2011)

сколько [SKOL'-ka] (adverb) – how many, how much

Сколько в классе студентов? = How many students are there in the class?

Сколько хлеба надо купить? = How much bread should I buy?

Сколько времени вы будете там? = How long will you stay there?


You need the Genitive Plural case (родительный падеж, множественное число) after "сколько".

Note the expression: Сколько времени... = How long...
