вокзал - railway station (12th August 2011)

вокзал [vag-ZAL] (masculine noun) – a railway station

Папа отвёз нас на вокзал. = Dad took us to the railway station.

Наш поезд отправляется с Казанского вокзала. = Our train is leaving from Kazanskiy railway station.

 

Please, note that we usually use the word "вокзал" only for important railway stations. Smaller railway stations are normally called "станция".
