часы - a watch, a clock (16th September 2011)

часы [cha-SY] (plural noun) – a watch, a clock

На стене висят часы. = There's a clock on the wall.

Он носит дорогие часы. = He wears an expensive watch.


Please, note that the word "часы" is always plural (adjectives and verbs used with it should be in a plural form).

The word comes from "час" = an hour.
