падать / упасть  [PA-dat'/u-PAST'] (imperfective/perfective verb) – to fall

Когда дети учатся ходить, они часто падают. = When children are learning to walk, they often fall.

Он поскользнулся на льду и упал. = He slipped on the ice and fell over.

 

Past: он упал, она упала, они упали
