На всякий пожарный - Just in case

На всякий пожарный (случай) - just in case

На всякий пожарный случай, в вашей машине должна быть аптечка. - There should be a first aid kit in your car, just in case.

Возьми зонт на всякий пожарный. - Take an umbrella, just in case.

 

The expression comes from "пожар" = a fire, and literally means "in case there's a fire", but it's used for any possible emergency.
