цена - price (10th June 2011)

цена [tse-NA] (feminine noun) – a price

В этом магазине высокие цены. = Prices are high in this store.

Цены на нефть растут. = Oil prices are going up.

 

Note the word stress change: цена (a price) - цены (prices)

 

высокие/низкие цены = high/low prices

цены растут/поднимаются = prices are going up

цены падают/снижаются = prices are going down
