How much is it?

Сколько это стоит?  [SKOL'-ka E-ta STO-it?] - How much is it?

You can also name the thing you are asking about:

Сколько стоит пакет молока? = How much is a packet of milk?

Сколько стоят помидоры? = How much are the tomatoes?

Note that you use "стоит" if you are asking about just one thing, and "стоят" if you are asking about several things.

It's very important to stress the first syllable in "стоит", otherwise you get a different verb (to stand).
