Looking for a Russian teacher?

Word in focus

чувак  [choo-VAK] (masculine noun) – dude, man, guy

А кто этот чувак? Ты его раньше здесь видел? = Who is that guy? Have you seen him here before?

У тебя что, чувак, совсем крыша поехала? =  Dude, are you nuts?

« Could you speak slower, please? | Main | Two tickets to Moscow, please. »

Can I come in?

Можно войти?  [MOZH-na vay-TI?] - Can I come in?

To ask for a permission to do something, we use "можно" + infinitive form of a verb.

Можно выйти? = Can I go out?

Можно посмотреть? = Can I have a look?
