Looking for a Russian teacher?

Word in focus

чувак  [choo-VAK] (masculine noun) – dude, man, guy

А кто этот чувак? Ты его раньше здесь видел? = Who is that guy? Have you seen him here before?

У тебя что, чувак, совсем крыша поехала? =  Dude, are you nuts?

« Turn right (left). | Main | Can I come in? »

Could you speak slower, please?

Говорите помедленнее, пожалуйста.  [Ga-va-RI-te pa-MED-le-ne-ye, pa-ZHA-la-sta] - Could you speak slower, please?

This phrase should be used with people you address "Вы". If you address someone "ты", you should use "говори" instead of "говорите".

Наташа, пожалуйста, говори помедленее. Я не очень хорошо понимаю по-русски. = Natasha, can you speak slower, please? I don't understand Russian very well.
