Word in focus

чувак  [choo-VAK] (masculine noun) – dude, man, guy

А кто этот чувак? Ты его раньше здесь видел? = Who is that guy? Have you seen him here before?

У тебя что, чувак, совсем крыша поехала? =  Dude, are you nuts?

« I'm sure / I'm not sure. | Main | I think so / I don't think so. »

Would you like a ride?

Тебя подвезти?  [te-BYA pad-ves-TI?] - Would you like a ride / Would you like a lift?

Уже поздно, автобусы больше не ходят. Тебя подвезти? = It's late, there are no buses anymore. Would you like a ride?

You will use this phrase if you address someone "ты" (you know them, it's an informal situation). If you address someone "вы" or you are talking to more than one person, you should say "Вас подвезти?".
