чувак  [choo-VAK] (masculine noun) – dude, man, guy

А кто этот чувак? Ты его раньше здесь видел? = Who is that guy? Have you seen him here before?

У тебя что, чувак, совсем крыша поехала? =  Dude, are you nuts?

Would you like a ride?

Тебя подвезти?  [te-BYA pad-ves-TI?] - Would you like a ride / Would you like a lift?

Уже поздно, автобусы больше не ходят. Тебя подвезти? = It's late, there are no buses anymore. Would you like a ride?

You will use this phrase if you address someone "ты" (you know them, it's an informal situation). If you address someone "вы" or you are talking to more than one person, you should say "Вас подвезти?".

I think so / I don't think so.

Я думаю, да.  [YA DOO-ma-yu, DA.] - I think so.

Я думаю, нет. [YA DOO-ma-yu, NYET.] - I don't think so.

- Ты будешь дома сегодня?

- Я думаю, да. Мне никуда не надо.

- Are you going to be at home today?

- I think so. I don't need to go anywhere.

- Как ты думаешь, он придёт?

- Я думаю, нет. Он не любит ночные клубы.                             =

- Do you think he'll come?

- I don't think so. He doesn't like night clubs.

I don't hear you well. Could you speak louder, please?

Я вас плохо слышу. Говорите погромче, пожалуйста.  [YA VAS PLO-ha SLY-shu. Ga-va-RI-te pa-GROM-che, pa-ZHA-looy-sta] - I don't hear you well. Could you speak louder, please? (on the phone).

The phrase above is for the situations when you use "вы" with the person you are talking to (a formal situation). If you use "ты" with them (an informal situation), the phrase will sound like:

Я тебя плохо слышу. Говори погромче, пожалуйста.

I'll call back later.

Я позвоню попозже. [Ya pa-zva-NYU pa-POZ-she] - I'll call back later.

- К сожалению, его сейчас нет. Передать ему что-нибудь?

- Нет, спасибо. Я позвоню попозже.

-I'm afraid he isn't in right now. Would you like to leave a message?

- No, thanks. I'll call back later.

Could you call an ambulance, please?

Вызовите скорую, пожалуйста.  [VY-za-vi-te SKO-ru-yu, pa-ZHA-luy-sta] - Could you call an ambulance, please?

Бабушке плохо! Вызовите скорую, пожалуйста! = The old lady isn't well! Could you call an ambulance?

"Скорая" is short for "скорая помощь" = an ambulance, which literally means "fast help".

You can use the verb "вызвать" (= to call an emergency service) in other similar phrases, for example:

Вызовите врача, пожалуйста. = Could you call a doctor, please?

Мы вызвали пожарных. = We have called a fire brigade.

Нужно вызвать полицию. = We need to call the police.
